Regional Aviation

Building on our EASA Part 21J Design Organisation Approval (DOA) status; we are committed to supporting Regional Aircraft operators' upgrade their fleets to the next generation of Avionics.

Gama Engineering offers a wide range of services including design, sales & installation of avionics as well as certification and new system installations.

Our services include a full turn-key design service, be it minor changes under our own approval or major changes that result in an EASA STC.

Upgraded avionics systems include LED position lights, GPS navigation systems, communication systems and Mode S transponders.

Certification support includes approval of Area Navigation (RNAV) systems based on a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) standalone receiver or multi-sensor system.  This certification effort has lead to an EASA STC being obtained by Gama Engineering for BN2 Trislander/ Islander aircraft to address RNP Approach (RNP APCH) operations and RNAV GNSS approaches conducted down to localiser performance with vertical guidance (LPV) minima.  An EASA STC has also been obtained by Gama Engineering Ltd for the Aspen EFD1000/ EFIS replacing ageing mechanical gyros in BN2 Trislander aircraft.

Working in partnership with the ERA, Gama Engineering is ensuring Regional Aircraft operators are able to keep abreast of the ever-changing regulatory scene. Driven by the potential of SESAR, the advent of EGNOS and so many other initiatives, Gama Engineering are doing their best to help you establish safer, more cost effective and reliable operations.

We are currently supporting Loganair to better serve its Scottish communities by upgrading its fleet with the latest Mode S transponder and supporting its BRNV approval requirement.
